Liz KeiferI know more than anything, you want to feel like you can show up as your truest self in all areas of your life. But when it comes to relationships (the place where you’d think you’d feel safest to be yourself), you don’t.
Instead you end up playing a role and hope no one notices. With over 30 years experience as a professional actress in television and film, my job was to play roles—to convince others that I was someone else. As a professional life and relationship coach, I help creatives and creators to stop acting so they can start believing and trusting themselves. We all play different roles for different people and different situations in our life. They are all there for a good reason - to keep us safe - even the ones that make us play small. The question is when does our need to expand and grow bigger in our life outweigh our need to play small? And what happens when they play out at the same time? Ready to see how good it can get? I can help. Please schedule a call and together we'll create a plan. |
" Liz's tools and expertise helped me to reframe my thinking and move through the roadblocks, which were preventing me from being a leader in my life and expanding my business. I now know what success looks like and feels like to me. What a gift!" Renee Carman - wife/ mother/ owner of Mandeville Canyon Designs |
As a woman and actress
I know what it is to be expected to play small, "speak your lines," and don't make waves in order to keep others happy. As a coach and mentor...
I know that speaking anything but your whole-hearted truth will keep you from being the lead player in your own life. Learn to: |
What makes Liz Keifer Coaching different?
With nearly three decades as a professional actor and thousands of hours coaching and mentoring, it’s clear to me that life is no place to act your way through. But the art of acting? It has a lot to teach about how to live.
In addition to my own acting career, I began directing actors on the essential questions needed to bring a character to life: Who am I? What do I want? How do I go about getting it? All other behaviors and beliefs stem from this foundation. That’s a lot of choices to be made before an actor can even walk into a scene! Where most of my acting clients struggled was not with the character’s story, but their motivation. The emotion behind the answers. To make their character appear believable, I needed to help them connect with their own, authentic feeling states and teach them how to align those feelings with the characters words and actions. Thus my deep dive into coaching and personal transformation began. As it turns out, in life, much like in acting, we’re seeking to answer the same essential questions. The big difference however, is that in life, we’re not trying to align our emotions to a characters. We’re trying to align our emotions to ourselves. Unfortunately, most of us have been taught to play a role rather than just be who we are. It’s how we keep ourselves safe while at the same time making it far more difficult to connect with our truth. Using the same principles I've used to connect myself and other actors with a role, I am now helping women do the same for themselves. The big difference however, is that I am not teaching them how to act. I am guiding them to find their own unique truth so they can create a life and relationships that are real. So they can stop acting their way through life and start living. My mission is to help women stand in their power and create a life that is an expression of authenticity. When you tap into your truth, you help others to tap into theirs and this is what it takes to build healthy relationships. Best, Liz |
"Liz’s coaching sessions were not only empowering, but they were fun. Her engaging personality allowed me to feel comfortable enough to open up my heart in order to seek purpose and vision for my life. She motivated me to take chances and enter a higher realm of thinking, encouraged me to be bold and brave, and offered me the support I needed when I began to falter. I felt heard and understood in ways that were important to me. Liz’s life coaching sessions are a gift for anyone who yearns for acceptance, warmth and compassion."
-Monica Marwah, School Psychologist "I had difficulty dealing with my husband. Every little thing would bother me and I would react and those neural pathways kept getting reinforced. Liz helped me to realize that my biggest issues were my own thoughts-thoughts that most of the time weren't even true! I never could have made this journey alone.
My energy has completely changed since our first meeting several years ago. I was a "victim" back then. Now, thanks to the work we've done, I'm a "warrior." I can't recommend her enough, I would literally talk to her every day if that were possible." Laurie Kirk - Actor, Wife, Mother |
“Liz Keifer is, without a doubt, the cream of the crop, the VERY BEST of life coaches. It's a rare occasion to have found someone with her talent, insight, and genuine caring. Acting as the bridge—she helped me to overcome difficult, lifelong relationships, which she referred to as “holding onto a piece of a broken cup.” She handed me the clicker to light my own flame, instead of being kindling for others. I’ve never been happier or clearer about my path forward and will be forever grateful for this life-changing experience.”
Cindy Sedlmeyer, Owner, About View Displays "When I began my sessions with Liz I had fleeting thoughts as to how life could be less chaotic. Raising a family, helping with aging parents, building a business, all merged into a kaleidoscope of different and competing emotions that depleted my energy. Through working with Liz, I have learned to identify certain natural reactions that I have to the demands life throws my way, and to adjust and respond accordingly. This in turn preserves more of my energy, time and hopefulness! Thank you, Liz! "
